We will only sell a product if the main construction of the item has been done using traditional methods

The idea behind this is that the traditional skills passed down through the generations will continue to be in demand. This will encourage future generations to learn the skills required to be master craftsmen

The dyes in our rugs can be either vegetable dyes or chemical dyes which give the greatest choice of vibrant fade resistant colours

Our rugs are 100% hand knotted and finished unlike some sellers who try and misleadingly say hand made when on closer inspection the weave can be seen to be machine made with a minimal amount of hand stitching to finish

A simple test is to spread the pile and inspect the base of the pile. If it is hand made a knot will be visible. If it is machine made then the pile is simply pushed through and no knot will be visible.

These skills are becoming rare as the world develops and we hope to keep them alive a little longer...
